Dr. Anne Turcea joins practice as a permanent partner
As of April 1, 2008 Dr. Turcea has permanently joined Women's Care for the Commonwealth as a partner in the practice. Turcea's addition strengthens our practice and our ability to serve patients with continuing care.

Dianna Purdom Barker now full time staff member of the practice
Women's Care for the Commonwealth is proud to announce that Dianna Purdom Barker, a Nurse Practitioner, is joining the practice as a full-time staff member as of June 2, 2008. Prior to her full-time employment with Women's Care for the Commonwealth, Purdom Barker had been a full-time employee of Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center for 30 years and had been a part-time employee of Women's Care of the Commonwealth for eight years. In addition to being a Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner and Unit Facilitator of Labor & Delivery at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Dianna is also a Certified I.C.E.A. Doula. She is a B.L.S. instructor, a Preceptor for Registered Nurses, has Neonatal Resuscitation Certification, and is A.C.L.S. certified.

Dr. Stivers now full-time provider with our practice
On July 20, 2009, Jennifer E. Stivers will begin seeing patients at our practice. Dr. Stivers completed her premedical education and residency at the University of Kentucky. We are excited as Dr. Stivers begins a new chapter in her career with our practice.

New Women's Health Floor at Ephraim McDowell will soon open
On January 13, 2009, the new Women's Health Floor at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center will be open. The floor consists of 24 suites: 7 birthing beds, 6 c-section beds, and 11 gynecological beds. The private suites allow patients the ability to remain in one room and have their children with them. We are looking forward to serving our patients' needs in the newest facility.

New Name, Logo, Website Debut for Danville OBGYN
Danville, Kentucky's largest OBGYN office has announced that it has a new name, Women's Care for the Commonwealth. A new logo, website and series of advertisements are also being unveiled as part of a re-branding initiative that positions the practice the most comprehensive and experienced women's care center in the Danville region. The Women's Care for the Commonwealth team of doctors and specialists includes Gary R. Ahnquist, M.D., James G. Alexander, M.D., Kimberly Frazier, M.D., Anne Turcea, M.D., Jennifer E. Stivers, M.D., and Dianna Purdom Barker, A.R.N.P.
